My brother is 13 and he keeps trying on my clothes should i tell my mum or keep it between us?

I dont think this is just a phase he really goes out of his way to look like a real girl, when mum is out working he has often spent hours dressed up and seems to enjoy being like a girl.I am a bit worried i will be in trouble for helping him although i have never really encouraged him i thought it was fun at first.I have aked him not keep wearing my stuff and he asked if i would help him get a few bits of his own and if he could keep them in my room.He asks me if i think he would get away with going out dressed one time i have said i doubt it but really he would have no trouble at all.Am i wrong to help and encourage him he seems so happy and if he is like this wouldnt he be anyway if i helped or not.

you know your mom, how do you think she will deal with knowing her son wears womens clothing? is he doing it to be silly or is he feeling out what he really wants. sit down one on one with him and talk to him he may have things he needs to talk about and if your willing to listen it will help him and bring the two of you closer in the long run.

Experimentation is perfectly normal, and most teenage boys dress up as girls at least once. You could however chat to him as you would a girlfriend whilst he tries on yoru stuff and try to fin dout hwta the appeal is. If its just 'dressing up', no worries, if he has transvestite tendencies, likewise, it may just be the way he is and shouldnt be 'a problem', but he'll need your love and support if indeed that is the route he really wants to take especially if your family would react badly. However, he's 13. so probably has no idea what he really thinks, not becasue there is anything wrong in being 13 but because peopel do change their minds about all sorts of thinsg whilst they travel through puberty, so what seems certain today may not be so next week.

I had the same problem as your brother, it sounds like your brother has the mind of a girl, this is no joke. Ask him if he feels like he is a girl inside and if the answer is yes he may have gender dysphoria, which means his mind tells him he is a girl but he is a boy. Help him if you can because it is not easy to deal with alone.
