yestaerday, the whitehouse confirmed that the WMD found were out of date, and not the weapons they were looking for in 2003. Then, the conservative supreme court ruled against a Bush backed railroad company, that used illegal retaliation against a woman who filed a sexual harassment complaint. Later in the day, a handful of republicans derailed a scheduled vote on the voter rights act, that would renew it for 25 years (this is the act that prevents discrimination against black people's voting rights) Then, to top it all off, it was released that the government is receiving information from Chase bank on accounts from Americans inside the U.S. Then, they asked two newspapers to not release the story. You all had a busy day! Any plans for today?

I never said Bush was worse than Hitler. ANd sorry I don't have anything less boring than news to report on, like fantastical WMDs, or threats of terrorists around every corner. Sorry, I live in the real world, and sometimes it's boring. But not yesterday !!

I will however compare Bush to McCarthy.

therandman...honey the supreme court didn't derail the vote in congress yesterday re: voter rights. A minority of republican senators did. That's cute, though, how you're trying to keep up.

You left out a few things, like blocking a raise in the minimum wage while increasing their own pay, and, after the National Academy of Sciences stated that the earth is the hottest it's been in over 2000 years, they again denied that global warming exists.

I would gladly give credit to the Republicans for stopping the terror plot in Florida but I don't believe that all of the FBI agents involved were Republicans. What Republicans were sucessful in doing yesterday was renaming 17 post offices and court houses. Our tax dollars at work...

therandman: I included the foxnews link so maybe you'd believe it. Of course, they may or may not have covered it on your local channel because the top science story for FOX was the web-spinning history of spiders.

Just because the WMD's were not the ones we went to war over...doesn't mean those don't exist. The ones found prove Hussein lied....what a surprise there.
The Supreme Court is actually moderate....there are 9 justices for a reason....the two new appts. level the playing field.
The voter rights act is outdated..as is affirmative action.
Did you also hear that 7 men were arrested in Florida BEFORE they had a chance to blow up the Sears Tower....to me that validates what the government is doing...sometimes you have to give up a little to gain alot...
Hopefully Reps have more of the same planned for today...

Is the Sears tower - the largest structure in the western hemisphere - is that part of your world or just mine? Having the CIA & FEDS catch homegrown muslism terrorist in a plot to destroy that building was a great day. Maybe it would have been better if they could have destroyed it - then maybe you would take off the liberal beer googles and live in the world I live in.

And the voting crap - it is out dated and the Supreme Court made the right desicion. Affirmative Action is becoming antiqudated also. Why can't average minority students compete with white students for college & university acceptance? The majority of all races go through the public school system.

And your liberal allies in the press still fail to report that there are well over 20,000 sarin-based munitions that are unaccounted for...hmmm, I wonder what all those trucks were hauling out of Iraq while Bill CLinton's weapons inspectors were sitting outside the gates...

See that's a good start. get Americans thinking negatively about the Republicans. Then they ask you what your platform is and you say "uhhhhhhh, Bush is worse than Hitler!" then they go back to ignoring you.

I'm sure they'll come up with something to try to distract us from the disaster that is the Bush administration.
