This boy i know told me he was in love with me last night (i have a boyfriend) he was 2 years younger than me at school but we have always been friends... we stopped talking last year coz his girlfriend (ex now) wanted him to. We started talking again this year and he has liked me for four years...
We all went out last night and got drunk and he kept saying it... i took it as a joke as he was joke but he kept on saying it. Usually people say 'i love you' when they are drunk but not in love.
Do you think its just infatuation coz i was the older girl he fancied since he was 14 (now 19) or do you actually think he does love me? I think it was just booze talking but arent you supposed to talk the truth when ur drunk?

Ahhh now this just depends on what you want from your answers.
Are you prepared to respond to him in a possitive way if he was telling the truth. Or do you just want to know to avoid embaressment in the future?
Whether or not you have a boyfriend does not matter, what matters is if you have feelings for this admirer, if you do then you need to end your relationship and be with this guy.
If you don't recipricate his feelings then you need to tell him bluntly that you do not appreciate his forward nature.
I believe he is being sincere, now it all depends on you ( the ball is in your court ) be true to yourself, and be honest with your present boyfriend, RESPECT goes a long way.

I say this is infatuation, because most of the boy have the infatuation. He may have love you or like you because he want to have fun with you. Regarding this you must be careful because most of the guy try to destroy others life. This is serious matter and you must take it very deeply. If you are not careful then your life will be ruin by that guy. I feel this way, but I don't know how you feel. I am also a young boy, I feel infatuation but I don't wanna destroy others life. You just judge him carefully whether he like/love you truly or not. After know his behavior you can make a final decision. Most of the boy are a play boy. Don't trust them if your conscience is blaming you. This is all from my side.

Age is irrelevant - you clearly have lots in common because you have been friends for a while - and perhaps the drink was dutch courage - he means it so go for it!!

tell him hes a ncie boy and u will always be friends but ur happy who ur with and very much in love. if he means it he will have to deal with it, and if he doesnt then ur friendships less complicated
