I do not believe that we can generalize this to race. It's more individual's upbringing and character than a culture or race thing.

No, i dont agree with the statement that you made, I believed it depends on someone's personal finances if they want to donate generously or not. Most of the time people dont make it public when donating a large amount.
If you go to country such as Malaysia where the people is predominantly malay and indian , do you think it is fair to say the Malay or Indian is more generous in giving donations then the Chinese?
Donation comes from the heart, It is not a matter of which culture or race is more generous then the other :)

Giving donations in general? Giving donations to whom? Do you mean PERCENTAGES or RAW CASH?

Have you ever been to India? Naked children walking up to you begging for a Rupeta (100th of a Rupee) so their family can eat? Whole crowds of naked children following you for miles for a single scrap of food - people should be donating to THEM.

Don't judge anyone - there are circumstances.

Anyway, I do not agree. I have Chinese and Indian customers - they both have well deserved (although not universal) reputations for haggling. I think they're both on the same par, (I won't comment further). The Malay people I don't know.

No. It all depends on one's financial status. If they can afford, they'll donate more. Who really cares about the amount? As long as you donate I think that's fine. That's a really ignorant kind of thinking you got there. Get a grip.

It's a generalisation. There are more chinese then other races in Singapore so it seems like they are more generous but if you calculate on a percentage level I wouldn't be suprised if all were equally generous.
