No, I don't think that Ghana should have gotten that penalty kick. It was simply two guys going up for the header, colliding, and one keeping better balance than the other.
Another call I think was way of was when Lewis, on the USA team, got a yellow card for a handball. If he had gotten called for a handball inside the box, that would be one thing. But a handball on the open field? No way should that have been a yellow card.

Wasn't even a foul. But is the way it is. Argentina lost the final game to Germany in 1990 by a penalty kick. The german player, a few days ago, admited that it wasn't a foul. 16 years after the fact. Do you think they are going to give the cup back?

No way! And if it wasn't for that penalty, USA would have won the game. (I know what you're thinking. "NO, IT WOULD'VE BEEN A 1-1 TIE!). The penalty changed the momentum and strategy of the US team.

Ghana aren't the ones in question for "deserving" or "not deserving" the call; they couldn't do anything about it either way. That said, Onyewu played the header roughly but fairly. I can see, in real-time and at game pace, why the referee made the call he did--but replay vindicates our defender.

no they should have never had been given that penalty kick, but also they did out play the american team but i think they played a dirty game, number 23 fouled when he scored the first point but nothing was called. they had 17 fouls in the first half to u.s. 3

yes. they didn't deserve a lot of others though. the penalty was coach arena's fault. he should never have allowed that cheater onyewu on the roster. all he does is knock players over because he has no skills. maybe if another player was starting that wouldn't have happened.
