Yes, I think the media had pretty much a negative effect on all aspects. When was the last time you read the paper or watched the news and saw something positive?

Absolutely! Have you ever personally talked to returning troops who have just gotten home from Iraq? They just can't believe how the American media is spinning this war! I am so furious with the media these days that I look at as many sources as I can to see if I can find out the true details. It's hard, though, because everybody spins it to suit their own agenda.

Yes. I think the media has a negative effect on most things they report. They spin things to make them look like they want them to look. They report stories in a way that they think will get them the higher ratings.

Yes, I think they don't report accurately as to what is really happening. I think the media has softened Americans viewpoint on war. This to me affects how long we are there. If more Americans were educated as to our lack of direction and the amount of civilians that have been killed over there as well as our own they would be outraged. Out of sight out of mind. If the media were to report more heavily on the negatives that happen everyday things would be different.

Uh, yes! Most of the media is influenced by the Far-Left Democrats, and unfortuantely, most people read what is in the paper and believe that it is the truth. So the Far-Left will print anything negative about the war, Bash bush in any way shape or form, and bash the U.S. as best as they can.

Well, it can't be objective because their sort of at the will of advertisers and the current public opinion (they broadcast what people want to watch (which is, coincidentally, seldom the objective truth)).

The media is a business, just like everything in America, and so it will always be flawed because business' ultimate end is money.

Yes, they only report the bad stuff and they distort the details of even that. Reporters are scum.
