Because, according to chaos theory, the infinitesimally small amount of air that my hands' movements displace might trigger changes so huge in the world that I might be reversing global warming by waving them. ...so, there you have it. I stop waving my hands, global warming never ends and human civilization as we know it ceases to exist ....and, you wouldn't want that, would you now ? You selfish human species destroyer !!!
