Depends on how much weed killer you used and how big the tree, and how long ago you applied. If not a lot and big and recently, just give it a lot of water. If a lot and small and a while ago. it is probably doomed. At this point, maybe all you can do is wait it out.

Depends on what was used. A roundup like product, glysophate, will kill anything. One catch though, it must be sprayed on the LEAVES. It will not work on the trunk of a tree or even poured on the roots. Other weed killers are usually specific, 2-4-D is for broad leaf weeds, probably no problem, MSMA is for grassy weeds, probably no problem. A killer for vines and scrub could be a real problem. If you suspect poisoning, prune the tree bhracnches back below the point of dying, in other words get past the poison. Fertalize with miricle grow and hope for the best.

Weed killers are usually specific to a type of weed, either broad-leafed or grass-like weeds. However, there are a few types of "broad spectrum" weed killers which kill a greater range of plants. Depending on the size of your tree, the amount of can determine the damage. Large trees will probably not be affected at all. However, small trees can suffer from toxicity and take their time before rebounding. Thank God weed killers dont work TOO well
