In particular - I wouldn't call these people lazy cause it takes more energy to write a question... why do people trust that others will find a better answer than themselves? Why are people afraid to do something themselves? Why depending on others so much? Fear of what?

I suppose they were never taught to do things for themselves.

Perhaps Mommy still cuts their food and they stilll drink from a sippy cup.

I don't know. I keep Google opened and minimized all day so I can hop over any time I want. I Google all sorts of stuff, and I use it to answer a lot of these questions. It's amazing the things I've accidentally learned by doing that. For instance.....did you know there is a RPS (Rock Paper Sissors) Society and that they have Conventions, and Championships!
I love my computer search engine! I think it's awesome! It's like having the whole entire world at my fingertips 24/7!

I must agree. I did a report on the first computer. Colossus if I remeber. A message decoder used in WW1...BUT the fact is using Google takes a lot of time and patience. It is also a lot easier to get a false answer. Here, people ask the question and get anwers.

this site is just like a search engine but with people answering , google is not the only means of information on the internet . also here you might get some inside info on whatever you are asking that you might not get from a website . just think of google and yahoo answers being the same thing . also search.com is way better than google but without the cool name

I believe that some people think computers are all knowing perfect machines that are there for any question! But, in real life however, computers are only as smart as the person that makes them and puts them together. LOL And that might not say much for some:)

This question mechanism is more interactive and social than googling. I agree with you on asking such questions. Wikipedia is a good source as well.

if you're not used to do research, I guess when you're on a site like this, suddenly all the stuff you wondered pop into your mind and you start asking without questioning other ways.

Cheers :)

It's probaby psychological. Because people talk in sentences, therefore they often google-search (and yahoo-search, and dogpile-search) in sentences too. Besides, Google ignores "Who" and "the" (invented is still important) because they are "common words". I think that this is probably just another one of those things that people prefer for no real reason (it just "feels" right).
