My 4 year old granddaughter. The other day a bird came and landed at the feeder and she asked me what it was. I told her I would look in the bird book and find out. She asked me what was in the bird book. I told her there were lots of birds in it. She said, "Gramma, do you think I'm -stupid- there's no birds in a book." So I told her, "Sometimes, I think you don't know everything, but I don't think you're stupid, what do you think?" and I opened the book, which has every bird imaginable in it. She goes, "Gramma, these birds aren't alive, I'm not stupid". I just sat there dumbfounded. Why would she think there were live birds in a book? Maybe I'm stupid. :)
