I'm curious. Were you as supportive of President Clinton? I am what you would probably call a liberal. I didn't vote for President Bush and I don't especially like him. But he is OUR president until the next election so...
Do I support the war in Iraq? No. I think we need to find a way out. Iraq was not an imminent threat before the war. We have turned it into a threat and a terroist training ground.
Now does this mean that I don't support the troops? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Of course I support them! I am a patriotic American! Why would anyone think that just because I am a "liberal" that I would have something agains the militatry? Those in the military are sworn to carry out all lawful orders. As the saying goes in the service, "You don't pick your wars."
Now about these arrests in Miami. Yes, the United States has enemies. There are those who would seek to destroy us. They were arround before the war, and they will likely be around after. As for this bunch, if they are truly guilty it will be proven in court and there will be a few less enemies roaming free. A fine and wonderful thing!
And one last thing for you to think about. Since you seem to have such a problem with liberals does that mean that you dislike some of our greatest liberals? I'm thinking of people like Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, and Adams. Men who came up with the ANYTHING BUT CONSERVATIVE idea of breaking away from the British and forming a new country. CONSERVATIVES would have hung them all from the nearest tree. Of course at the time these people were known as Torries. They in turn had a different name for those "liberals" I just mentioned. They called them traitors!

First thing, there WAS ans IS a reason for the war: OIL!!!!! secondly, having the might to do a thing doesn't give the RIGHT to do a thing. As to the demands on Bush, is that why he sat around holding a children's book upside down for over ten minutes after being told about the 9-11 attacks? As to nobody crossing the border, check recent news stories about American AWOL's in Canada asking for asylum, refusing to return to an unjust war. Also, if fighting for the great USA is so wonderful, how come the Bush daughters aren't jumping into a uniform for the front lines? That's right, they don't allow alcohol in a Muslim country! I'm a Liberal and my mind is always in gear, looking to a future instead of wallowing in the past because 'tradition dictates'!

Well...its interesting that this isn't being reported as big news by the media is it not? I guess I am not as positive about our president as you are - I agree that he was correct and have always supported him, but it seems like the goal of eliminating the threat in Iraq is to the point where we should have a goal of getting out. I do think this president is a little too in with big business - I mean you really have to wonder how we as a country can be spending billions on a war in an oil producing nation yet gas prices continue to rise and Mobil/Exxon can announce record profits at the same time. So, I support the President and I do hope he is exonerated by the liberal left for their claims of lies and such, but I also hope the President can be less stubborn and see this war to an end.

WMD's in Iraq?
Nah, chemical weapons, sure, but we knew about that $h!t. And there were plenty of foiled and successful terrorist attacks on American embassies, battleships, etc. before this war.
When I look at the Halliburton connections, the highest oil profits coinciding with the highest consumer prices for gas during these "times of struggle," the Mission Accomplished banners years prior to a war still being fought, the idea that 9/11 possibly could have been prevented-- events like these warrant apologies to me, credible explanations at least, not vice versa.

lol wmd's... i think not you mean these?
The intelligence officials also said that the munitions referred to in the report were produced before the Persian Gulf War in 1991 and that they had degraded and could not be used as designed. "There is no evidence today of any post-1991 WMD munitions," said the official, who agreed to speak with reporters only if his identity and his agency were not disclosed.
The officials said that the study was conducted to analyze the hazards that arose from the aging chemical munitions being discovered in small caches throughout Iraq to alert troops of the potential dangers of moving or destroying the weapons without realizing the hazards they posed if someone tried to move or destroy them without realizing their contents.
One of the intelligence officials added that there was "no evidence insurgents in Iraq had possession of these munitions"
And the "terrorist" threat in Miami....
Agents must now figure out if the men were actually capable of mounting attacks. Several sources described them as homegrown wannabes with no known connection to foreign terrorists. No explosives or guns were found, sources said.
nothing to do with Iraq

Fighting's what makes the world go 'round. Haven't you figured that out yet? Nobody's going to apologize to anybody for anything, regardless of the circumstances because this world is headed straight for you-know-where... We're ALL too selfish to shut up and get along! LOL

how do you know that WMD weren't "planted"?
Do you know that our country's leaders installed Dictators in other countries so that we could then take over the country and make it one of our territories ?
You are correct when saying there are things going on that we are not aware of but,I don't think Bush makes the decisions-He has someone else that he gets instructions from.
You are either part of the problem or part of the solution but what happens when there is no solution?

Well said
And if we dont all get behind this war something very bad is going to happen.
Canada
Miami
We better stay strong and aware.
Most of all
WE BETTER BE READY TO FIGHT !!!!!!!!!
If we dont start fighting this war like we want to win theyre going to keep abducting our soldiers
Theyre going to keep sniping and fighting behind civilians.
How hard do you think these animals are laughing when they read that we are trying OUR OWN SOLDIERS for killing them?
We better wake up and fight like them.
That's the only way to win.
