As much as people run around on weekends, adding another day would make it worse, not better. Besides short of working 10-hour days, people would have less money and that would hurt the economy.

Of course, I work at a company where I can flex my hours so I could do this if I wanted to but the idea of 10-hour days does not appeal to me at all.

great idea! .....but i think that most of us need 40 hours for pay and working 4 10s would probably make one too tired to do anything on a three day weekend and then having the busy 3 day weekend would drag us down for 4 10s...see my point?

I like your way of thinking. Absolutely. Maybe we could get our representatives to enact an emergency law enforcing three day weekends until gas goes below $2.00 a gallon, we would have three day weekends for a long, long time! :)

Well, if you create more trips, the gas savings is out.

If people are not there to collect your money, the economy suffers.

Any other ideas?

Why stop there?

Why don't you work for 2 days (Saturday and Sunday) and stay at home from Monday to Friday?
