i bought a few dvd's n all other except 4 dis 1 is workin. it workz in my dvd player n my dad's laptop drive. itz got nothin 2 do with da software itz power dvd. the drive itself isnt recognizing the disc. when i click open in my computer-g: it says pls insert a disc . please help.

well depends on the laptop. mine has to disk areas. on side is for dvd and the other is for cds. did u check the other side. your laptop may not have a dvd player

Do you have 2 optical drives on the computer that won't play the DVDs? You must select the drive that the movie is in, even in power DVD before it will play. Since the laptop has only 1 optical drive, that's why the DVD will play in it.

Instead of going through drive g:, try opening the file through the software, click file, and open DVD.

The disc may be scratched in a sensitive area, or you may need to update the drivers for your drive.

If the drive is Liteon, say good bye to it and get a new one...
