You can get you Decree Nisi in about 6 to 9 weeks and then your Decree Absolue in about another 6 to 9 weeks. In the words of my divorce lawyer "it depends how busy the courts are"

With the solicitor i have she has told me i could be divorced within about four to five months...it doesn't matter if the other party is being a pain in the **** or not...by the way i live in the UK so if you would like her number e-mail me and i will send it to you...good luck!

mine took about 9 months, and that was just sorting out money and house details, from the nisi to the absolute, each case diffrent on circumstances
there is no hard and fast time span.

when i divorced my first hubbie he contested it and i think it took absolutly ages because he simply refused to sign the papers and i had to have them served on him in the end so once they knew he had them he didnt need to sign them just need to have them in his hand then it could go ahead so i,d say it took at least 6months yours maybe wont take that long good luck though xx
