Well, stress can affect the cycle, but pregnancy is a definite possibility. Three weeks is a bit much to use stress as the answer. I would get a pregnancy test right away. They are almost 100% accurate and since shes already late it should give you the answer. If it comes back negative, she may want to see her gynocologist to make sure everything is okay.

Your question is a little vague. If it's been 3 weeks, then that's normal. She should be getting one soon. If she should have had it 3 weeks ago and is late, then have her take a pregnancy test. I was 4 weeks late once and I took a test. Turns out I was just really stressed. That can cause it to be late. Another time when I was late, I took a test and it was negative so I went to the OB/GYN. That time, I found out that I had that Human Papaloma Virus and had to have the possibly cancerous cells removed. But, the other two times, I did end up pregnant. So, have her take a test. If it's negative and she still doesn't start, go to the doctor. If it's positive, go to the doctor.

Well, you don't have a period every three weeks anyway...it's every 28 days. Do you mean three weeks late for her period?? I'd suggest that if you all are worried about pregancy, get a pregnancy test at the grocery store and check it out. She can also go to a pregnancy center, they will do a pregancy test free of charge and confidentially.

Is sears a stressful Job? I doubt that would be the cause of a missed period. I would get a pregnancy test and then get on birth control pills if I were you! Use protection

Oh boy did she get checked out yes stress can cause your body to do that but I seriously doubt it would cause a woman to miss her period for three weeks, Basically she needs to get a pregnancy test . If she is showing signs of nausea, sleeping alot, frequent urination and so forth I think she needs to make a doctors appointment because if she is she needs to start taking care of herself and the questionable child.

Did YOU use protection?? Just because a woman is taking BC doesnt mean anything so you can never just rely on that alone.
Work could be a huge issue if she is stressed. Give her a back massage and buy her a couple roses and tell her how much you care. Maybe that'll make her relax.

Yes, she may very well be.
Unprotected sex is many more times likely to cause a change in the mensrual cycle than employment enduced stress.
Get a test kit from thr drug store and find out in 2 minutes.
If she's not pregnant perhaps she needs to change jobs?

are you talking about 3 weeks after the usual 30 days?
you might get her a pregnancy test - but there is also thousends of reason why it can be delayed...
if i am in doubt about pregnancy the period usually wouldn't start til i make a test. right after that i usually start bleeding....
(our bodys are very attached to our minds!)

Yes, you're right. I know two people who work at Sears and because they are worked to the bone they have irregular periods too. ps your nickname indicates you're a doctor (LMAO) so shouldn't you know the answer to this?
