I live in Houston and have seen this before, you will need to get assistance of legal counsel, Texas govt. won't do anything until a lawyer gets involved, I am lucky, in my line of work the union takes care of these things, My advice is at least talk to an an attorney that specializes in labor disputes, things will speed up tremendously,

The Texas Workforce commission is supposed to handle this kind of matter. What you should do next is hunt down an employment attorney. Most will meet for an initial consultation for free.

What they are going to need/want to know is how well documented your claim of wages is? In other words, you can't just say they owe you money, do you have proof of hours worked, what you got paid, AND that what you didn't get is due.

You probably need a lawyer, but even so, your odds are poor. Texas labor laws are very weak and pro-business.
