On a 2000 Town and Country van there are two engine options, but both have the same belt setup. There is a serpentine belt on the vehicle that runs all your accessories and the water pump. It is held in place with a belt tensioner. If the belt slipped off, the tensione is most likely bad.
To put the belt back on, you need a belt tensioner tool. There shout be a routing diagram for the belt, either on the hood or the radiator support. Route the belt, use the tensioner tool to move the tentioner and slip the belt onto the alternator pulley.
Have the tensioner, and the idler pulley checked, one or both will need to be replaced!

It's a serp belt and the diagram to install it should be around the radiator area on a sticker. It should not have slipped off. You need to check the belt and the tentioner to see the cause. I would say you need both. If you don't know how to put a belt on I would suggest you should get some help from a mechanic.

Take it to the dealer; if it is still under warranty. Not returnable but under service might be free. Thats power train usually 50,000 miles or 3 years? depends.
