Congratulations mom to be!
Not to worry...at 6 months your child is starting to grow rapidly and may not have the room to be as active anymore, but if you don't feel any movement for a day or two consult with your OB.
Good Luck!

It is okay to worry about everything with a first baby. Also okay to ask for every advise everywhere.
But once you feel really worried not just the normal desire to talk about 'IT', then run to a doctor and do not leave until your worries have been settled.
Most of the peirod should be safe, but you dont know if you are one of those who will need asistance.
All of us would talk about our worries all day long, thats part of being a woman.
My second born was very lazy and too big for the womb, I was checked every other day from the sixth month. Sometimes several of doctors had to take turn to search for the hear beat, but it was there somewhere!! But my friend was not so lucky. when they searched for the baby's heartbeat it was not there, and the baby was already gone.

Between 6 and 7 months my baby didn't move that much either and I was really concerned.....I searched the net, talked to my OB and at the very end I was reasurred that is a normal thing.....Drink a glass with orange juice and count the baby movements for an hr......You'll feel so much better when u'll figure out that he is actually moving....
Wishing you the best

Babies are very active and if you felt every move they made you would go crazy. During the day they tend to sleep because your movement lulls them to sleep and they wake at night. If you want to comfort yourself do a kick count. LIe down and for 1 hour focus on nothing but feeling the baby move , count every movement ..... I think you should feel atleast 10 movements even if they are small. If you are still concerned call your doctor.

Hi there..I am 6mths and 1 weeks and there are days that I only feel a kick or two. I noticed that if he has one active day of kicking and moving, then he hardly moves at all for the next couple of days. Also, the more active you are, the less he will probably move. I definately wouldn't worry unless you don't feel ANY kicks or movement within a 24-48hr. period. Congratulations!

Congrats! It was not till I was about 6 1/2 months until I felt my baby move for the first time. I went into the doctor quite concerned, and he told me to drink a glass of orange juice, and once I did she went nuts, something about the acid (it's not bad). Not sure if it works on every one, but I gave that advised to one of my girl friends and it worked for her as well. Try it wouldn't hurt, but if you are that concerned get to the doctor.

Whats not much? A little every day? Or close to not at all? If close to not at all you need to take yo butt to the doc's office and make sure everything is ok. You might want to follow up with your doctor with your concerns anyway. You never know what it could be. And all of our opinions dont really matter, even as mommy's. YOu need a heathcare professional

hi sweetie, the dr. gave me a kick chart, if you feel your baby move as many time a day as is normal dont worrie about it, as long as she is kicking, most babys start really making some noise at the last three months, trust me it will wake you up! and you may even pee on yourself lol.but if you do not have this chart or your baby is not moving as much as this chart says , please got to your dr. for an ultra sound ok. best of luck to you and the baby, and GOD BLESS.

don't worry! Your baby may not move much they don't have much room in there. Rub some ice on your stomach and see if that makes the baby move. That is what my doctor told me to do.

Not to worry. Your baby is growing and doesn't have as much room to move. But if you do not feel any movement in 24 hour period tell your OB.
