There are three types of NOTAMs allowed by FAA's handbook: Flight Data Center (FDC), Distant (D) and Local (L).

FIVE TYPES OF NOTAMS
1. NOTAM A = VALID FOR MORE THAN 02HRS
2. NOTAM B = VALID FOR LESS THAN 02 HRS
3. NOTAM C = VALID FOR DOMESTIC OPS ONLY
4. NOTAM D = FOR DEFENCE OPS
5. NOTAM G = FOR INTL OPS ONLY ISSUED BY DELHI, DGCA
CATEGORIES FOR NOTAMS:
NOTAM N = NEW NOTAM
NOTAM R = REPLACES PREVIOUS NOTAM
NOTAM C = CANCELS PREVIOUS NOTAM
