you should apply like clove oil or baby oil to it to make it darker and to last longer also have you already taken the hard stuff off ( the stuff that they peel ooff and levels the tato?)

Im a preoffesional henna artist and hope its still there! I also hope you got a brown/ red henna and not black as black henna is not henna at all and can be VERY dangerous!
okay, heres the directions,
1.alow henna to dry. do not smear or rub your wet henna as it stains everything it touches while it is wet. It will take around 15-20 minutes to dry.
2. Once dry, leave it alone. Do not pick, rub or wash the dried paste off. Henna paste should stay on atleast 6 hours if posssible- over night is even better. Try to stay in the heat if possible. the warmer you can get it, the darker and longer lasting the stain.
3. Once the paste falls off, the stainll be light orangish to lightish brown. That great and dont panic- the henna stain takes 48 hours to reach its peak. So if you get one on a saturday- it wont be really dark untill monday. Dont get the design wet or scrub or exfoliate for 24 hours. and whatever you do, dont shave it or go in chlorine.
4. Dont apply lotion- as that is an exfoliant, apply oil instead and that will make your henna really glow. Go ahead and live normal, (without shaving or chlorine) and if the henna is on your hands, dont do dishes! (yippee)
5. enjoy it! your henna will last anywhere form a week to a month (!) depending on wehre on your body you get it and how well you take care of it. the closer to your hands and feet- the darker!
6 . Have fun. go to college. clean yer room ( i say this to everyone i henna so im saying to you!)

yeah i agree with svs345. cause im indian too. so i should know. u put some kind of cream or oil on,and dont use a lot of soap in that area for a while. it will stay on for about 3 weeks.
oh yeah and if u put it on your nails and hands it looks real cool.

Get sum thick mosituring cream, such as nivea for dry sking etc and cover the tatoo on it before you have a shower or bath or go in water becuase it protects the colours and makes it last longer! :)

Do not apply any soaps or lotions to the area for a few days, or until it looks healed. You may apply an anti-biotic cream to the area to prevent infections.
