Why isn't there a world cup for female football players? And why do people think wierd of girls who play football?

I do think alot of people think it is a guys game....I went to football tryouts in school and chose not to play. I just wanted to make a point...that girls can play if they really want.(and i am a small girl)

There is a World Cup for women. And I think some female footballers are hot.

Womens' football / soccer DOES have a World Cup; in fact, it may be more popular in the US than the men's World Cup. I've haven't heard of widespread ridicule of women's football / soccer. Ever heard of Mia Hamm? Julie Foudy? Brandi Chastain? The quality of soccer is excellent.
Girl's soccer is very popular at the youth level; our town's program is excellent.
My kids' babysitter (a 17 yr old local high school girl) is a high school soccer star; she may even get some college scholarship money because of soccer. She's a great kid too; a perfect role model for my 7 year old daughter, who just started getting interested in soccer.

Of course not only a guy's game. And of course, there is a World Cup for women soccer. In fact, the next World Cup for women soccer in year 2007, which is next year, and it is going to take place in China. However, it may be true that the World Cup for women soccer may not be as big/popular as that of the men though.
The first Women World Cup took place in the year of 1991. There were 16 teams participating and US won the championship. Please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_Women's_World_Cup for more details. From the year of 1991, US has won championship two times and thrd place two times.
By the way, US women soccer is one of the strongest teams, not like their men counterparts. Does it mean that women are better men (or at least, US women are better than US men)? Well, you be the judge. :)

there is a womens world cup you idiot. And guess what?? WOMENS SOCCER IS WHAT US IS KNOWN FOR!! USA is the best womens team in the world and we have won numerous world cups and olympic gold medals. You are insane and obviously arent a true soccer fan. I am a 14 year old female who is training for the olympics by playing in the very elite and competetive ODP (olympic development program)

No,certainly not but i enjoy watching boys more then the gurls cause thats boring an they hav no skill and the boys does.

It should be a guy's game, I prefer girls in sports like synchronized swimming,girls in football jerseys look not so SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I DON'T KNOW, I HATE IT THOUGH. PEOPLE THINK THAT FOOTBALL IS A GUY SPORT, BUT IT REALLY ISN'T, ATLEAST, IT SHOULDN'T BE. IT'S SOO STUPID.
