*Haha, you people are cold blooded! Most, anyway.

I'd do it for you. Unless I was the one killing you, of course.

Disregard this. Don't let it influence your answer.

If I saw anyone in danger, and I was the only one there to help, I would jump right in to help. I would not think about the consequences. If I did not help, and you ended up losing your life, the guilt alone would drive me insane. I'd rather be dead than regretful. It reminds me of a true story I once saw on TV where this photographer took a picture of a starving child in Africa crawling along the roadside, ribs showing, too weak to walk. There were a couple vultures following closely waiting for the child's imminent death. He took the photograph and left, not helping. The photograph became famous internationally, highlighting the plight of a nation starving to death. The photographer committed suicide soon after. How can you live with yourself when this photograph, which made you rich and famous, reminds you everyday that you did not help when you had the power to help.

The question is not will saving your life cost me mine, the questions is the "under any circumstance". No I would not save your life under "any" circumstance. I guess it would depend on what the circumstances were that put your life at risk. If it were your own doing and you were in the process of committing an illegal act, I would attempt to save you but I would not go so far as to put my own life at risk as well.

In all truth it is not for me to decide which of our lives are more valuable. If it were saving your life with the RISK that I MIGHT die I would say I would try my best. If I am sure to die and you survive, it would not be up to me to make that decision so I could not act unless otherwise instructed by a higher knowledge than my own.

Yes, if I had the ability or opportunity to save your life, even if it jeopardized my own, I would do it gladly. As citizens of this universe, we need to watch out for each other. Peace, dude.

in a reflex situation probably-like if you're about to be hit by a car otherwise it would just depend on my mood and the circumstances-i too have family as the others said but think little for myself and would only be concerned for them.

Thinks so, but first I'd have to get to Tralfamadore since you're there, and that'd be kinda hard since NASA only uses the shuttle and the space program is crap.

I would say yes, but it would have to wait til the end of August so the baby inside me wont die, too. Also, if I was drunk or drugged up, that would help if it was to be a scary situation.

Dear who ever you are... if saving your life makes the world more peaceful and more safe to live on... and if with my staying alive create terrible war or the world more miserable to live on... I'll save your life rather than saving mine...

I think so. You don't seem evil at all or anything, i actually like your writing and your life can have so much more meaning than mine.
And it would make my life more of 'something' rather than 'nothing' by saving someone.
