I don't know the gestation, but my boss had two miscarragies in her early thirties and then went on to have a child - and I am sure she is not the only one.
Chat this through with your doctor if you are really worried.

I was 29 when I had a miscarriage at 10 1/2 weeks and went on to have 2 other kids. With the one that I lost it turned out that the heart had a deformity and never would have survived anyway. I would go to a maternal/fetal specialist and get them to do genetic testing on you and your spouse before you get pregnant again. That way you will know if it is possible to carry a child to term without going through the heartache of another miscarriage.
I am so sorry for your loss. I can say that because I've been through it and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!

Hi,
I know of 2 of my friends both in there late 30's .......
1st ) She was 37 when she had 2 miscarriages 1 @ 9wks the other @ 11wks, she is now the proud mum of a beautiful baby girl.
2nd) She had 3 miscarriages @ the age of 38-39 all within a matter of 18 months, she is now blossoming in pregnancy and has 3 months to go, all is well.
Hopes this puts your mind at rest... GOOD LUCK !!!!! if you are trying.

After having 2 children, i fell pregnant a couple of months after i had my daughter (my 2nd child) and i had a miscarriage, i was 16 and a half weeks pregnant and at the time, it felt as if i was the only person in the world to feel the way i was feeling, but after a year of trying again for a baby-i had a 9lb6oz baby boy!!
Miscarriages happen for a reason-maybe if there is something wrong with the baby, its just nature. Unfortunate for me, mine wasnt nature...more likely something to do with me and my boyfriend having a fight, in which he obviously denied knowing i was pregnant!!
Now i have 3 lovely children...and split with their dad!! So things do get better, honestly!!

I am 24 years old. My mother had 6 miscarriages before she was told that she had to have a full hysterectomy. She went for the appointment and found out that she was pregnant with me and the doctors told her that she would never be able to carry the fetus due to scar tissue on her cervix from all of the previous miscarriages. Needless to say I was born when she was 32 and she had a full hysterectomy when she was 34. PRAYER honey it works. All things are possible just keep your head up and keep trying! Good Luck!!! Let us know how the outcome goes!!

I suffered multiple miscarriages in my late twenties, and have gone on to have 1 child (who's now 6 years old) and am currently 25 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child.
My friend, has suffered 3 miscarriages in her early 30's and she is currently 32 weeks pregnant with her first child. She is now 34.
My cousin, has had two pregnancies resulting in births, and is now suffering from recurrent miscarriage in trying to conceive her 3rd child.
Most doctors (in the UK), won't look at recurrent miscarriages until over 10 have occured on the NHS, so consider going private if you want this investigated.
Remember, lifestyle and diet can have a part to play, so prepare your body for pregnancy, folic acid, cutting out smoking and alcohol (you and your partner), shifting excess weight, eating healthily, taking up gentle exercise can all greatly aid conception.

I am 33, had two miscarriages (26 and 24 wks gestation) and (with the help of a good dr and good mediation to treat HELLP syndrome) had two beautiful babies - youngest is 5 months old.
Good luck - remember not all things are within your control :-)

I have had two miscarriages and I have two healthy children.
Have you had your progesterone levels checked? You thyroid levels (free T4s, not TSH)?
I also know women who have had 6 miscarriages and gone on to have healthy babies in their thirties.
I recommend that you join a "Trying to Conceive After A Loss" group at iVillage's http://www.parentsoup.com or at http://www.babycenter.com
There, you will learn about some tricks like a daily baby aspirin or a daily evening primrose capsule that helps certain women with certain problems and just makes other women feel better about being proactive.
