The best solution is to hire a baby-sitter, or to render the help of grandparents.
You just can't predict what will happen to kids. They're creative in their imaginations. Without the supervision of adults, they're going to party.

I believe its 6 months. By that time the little crumb-snatchers can pretty much fend for themselves. You may want to teach them to dial 9-1-1 just in case something happens though. But a mature 6-month old can handle just about any crisis.

Twelve years old, also based upon the child's maturity level, ability to call 911 if need be, and a little food in the house that they can safely prepare (not on the stove).

It depends on the kid,,some children cannot be alone even in the age of 19,like me lol
