Honestly if you think the way you do... you will do fine. English people dont have a problem with Canadians we feel you are closer to us! My Uncle moved to Canada from England and he has a wife two children and my cousin has just had two babies I dont get to see them that much and it is horrible not being able to see them. Just remember when you come over that everything is twice as expensive as over there. Americans are not all bad obviously however I do think they are on another level. I could not believe it when I found out that something ridiculous like 85% of Americans dont even own a passport. Please no one start hurling abuse at me. Be yourself and everything will be the same as Cananda just smaller, more expensive and accent is a little different. Good luck.

Hey! Don't hate the Americans. Some of them are great people. (And I am not American!)

I don't think it is helpful to lump different nationalities together and stereotype them. We are all different. There is good and bad in all of us.

Your question made me think of all the Canadian people I know, and I think what they would all say is that they like England a lot, but find it geographically small.

I had a Canadian friend at school who felt a bit claustrophobic. She was used to so much space. I can remebr feeling a bit offended on behalf of England and saying "Well, what about all of the space on Dartmoor and the Scottish Highlands and the Welsh mountains and........?"

She explained how very different it was in Canada, and it helped me to understand what it must be like.

So I guess, a Canadian living in England would need to prepare for having less space, and to plan some trips into the countryside as often as possible.....

Other than that, I don't see why a Canadian wouldn't totally enjoy being in England ?

It must be annoying that people think Canadians are American - but it is probably no worse than being any race and being lumped in with another.

Maybe it would help if you tried to focus on positive things?

The world can be a wonderful place.

What are you doing here? If I could I would move to canada tomorrow. This small country is becoming far too crowded and people are so self obsessed. Check out reality tv for the evidence.
