I have a friend who takes it and says it works pretty well. It's an appetite suppressant.

I haven't tried it, but I HAVE found that while real hoodia seems to be genuine, it is also atrociously expensive. Most of the stuff sold for 50 or even 100 bucks is way watered down, and so you won't really get the benefit. Hoodia is an appetite suppressant, so it just helps you to be less hungry. If your downfall is emotional eating, it probably won't help....one is eating because one WANTS to eat, not necessarily due to hunger. So having less hunger won't solve the problem. My suggestion would be to focus on getting enough protein and veggies, and also exercise (a natural, much cheaper appetite controller, besides it burns those extra ice cream calories). the good old fashioned stuff seems to be the best, most reliable way to go about weight loss...

I haven't seen it at reputable stores, just in scam e-mails so I have been afraid to try it.
