What's your oppinion on SHAKIRA??

Please just answer honestly what you think of her and, if possible things you've heard about her.

YUM! I saw her on MTV Cribs, she answered the door wearing a t-shirt and panties. YUM!

She's really cool cause shes a mix of very different cultures and if youre colombian then you saw her when she was just beginning--and you see the great artist she has become all the while keeping her identity. shes not afraid of her body or expressing herself and thats admirable in a women--sometimes even beautiful ones have trouble doing this... i heard that when she was a kid the nuns kicked her of the choir because of her different voice but she then decided to perform in little gigs here and there really starting from the bottom up. i admire how determined and how quickly she taught herself english and that she did not leave her roots, still singing in spanish. shes beautiful, dances greatly and sings great too--and writes her own lyrics and often composes the notes aswell--not to mention her own translations. despite her sensual movements she is not involved in scandals nor is she a slut. the only downside is that i was dissapointed when she made the transition to US market and dyed her hair blonde because she believed she would be better accepted this way--i liked her better with black hair and red streaks...

Well, her goat like voice is unique. She seems like a serious artist even though she is always half naked.

I respect her for the work she does in Colombia. She sponsers an entire school in a Arfo-Colombian area that is often forgotten by the rest of the country.

I wish she would rely more on her talent rather than objectifying herself. But Latina women are told they are purely sexual objects from very early on.

shakira is one of my favorite spanish language artists. her albums before her crossover are full of beautiful songs about love and the pain of loss of love. her popularity in spanish speaking countries was unmatched by her unique brand of music.

when she crossed over to english is when her music started to get bad. even her spanish version of her new album is not up to her old material. then she goes and makes a record like "hips dont lie" with the most annoying person in music, wyclef jean, and all hope is lost that the good shakira from the mid 1990s will return. what is that song "hips dont lie" about? its so annoying and to think one of my favorite artists sang it.

I really like her, she i very pretty and her voice is different. she knows she can dance and really shows it off. she is young and has a lot more success heading her way, of course she will be a star. i like her music for they are different and entertaining at the same time, plus her hair is soo pretty.

I think that she is very genuine. She's probably gonna be remembered in time, because of her voice, dance and style. Her voice is so hers that no one could be able to copy it! ever! and her dancing is very Latina, which makes her more international. and her style is so different from other...i think she was born to be a singer. ;)
