You should never just "slip away" because you don't want to hurt people you plan on leaving. Now, are you planning on GOING SOMEWHERE or something worse? I have a friend who talks like this every once in a while - but wants to MOVE - nothing about darkness. If you are planning to hurt yourself, please rephrase your question - and if that is so, please get some help. Things may not seem good RIGHT NOW but ya know, even one day can make a big difference. You don't know what is in store for you and you don't want to miss out on it. People you leave behind will be hurt for the rest of their lives. Should they then just do what you may or may not be planning on doing? Think about that.

Today is my last day at my job after being employed for 3 years - I don't want to say goodbye nor do I want to slip into a void of darkness - I think I will just say to my fellow co-workers: "I'll see you on the flip side"
