yes but you'll get less for it. bookstores pay you based on it's condition but the difference is really quite insignificant. if you really want to get maximum dollar for it, try posting it on one of the books for sale boards around campus. you'll get more for it and whoever buys it will pay less than what the bookstore charges them.

Sure, but it lowers the resale value even further. Which is already plenty low. Do you prefer to buy books that are marked up?

Worry about the grade you're getting, not the possible loss of $3 on the resale of your book.

definite, and in reality a college buyback wont provide you a penny more effective inspite of if the e book continues to be sealed in its wrapping vs a heavily marked up e book. So it doesnt remember how undesirable the e book is -- granted, a e book it truly is torn or mutilated wont be in many cases occurring (i have considered in part burned books tried to be offered decrease back lol). that is maximum proper to promote them by different avenues. college buybacks provide you the worst payout.

yes. either way they only give you a fraction of the price you pay.
say you have a $125 book, you might get $25 if you are lucky.
once you buy iy new, the next t ime you turn it in it will be considered
used.

from my experience, you usually can. college textbook stores might pay a little less for it, but pre-highlighted books are actually prefered by some students

When I took my books back they did not even open it...they just scanned it and gave me the money.

Do you think marked books help or hinder? When they are "marked" it tells you what the important parts are to remember...don't you think?
