I tried it but did not like it all. In fact, I have lao tried BE, Youngblood, Jane Iredale, Glo Minerals, Sheer Cover, Philosophy and Everyday Minerals. I think the purest of all is Everyday Minerals at everydayminerals.com. The EM prices are 1/5 of the BE's prices and EM does not contain elements like Bismuth that cause irritation and severe itching. BE, on the other hand, contains not only, Bismuth, but it also carries other elements that can lead to skin discomfort.

Bare minerals is awesome. I have been using it for over a year. The foundation gives excellent coverage, the eyeshadows and eyeliners are actually "fun", the blush is natural, everything about it is good. It DOES take some practice getting used to buffing the foundation on. I truly love it. And as for breakouts or spots to cover, it takes practice too, but if you use the concealer brush FIRST, then apply the makeup as usual, it does hide things fairly well. BUT the eyeliner is truly amazing, it is a powder too, and when you use it dry, with the eyeliner brush, it is a simple smokey line, and when you use it wet, it so dramatic and awesome. I do a better job with the minerals than with an eyeliner pencil, I guess because the pencil "pulls" at my eye while the powder of the minerals is just smoother.

I tried Bare Minerals and hated it. If you have dry skin it only makes it worse. The powder shows every line and dry spot. Have you ever seen someone who used to much powder, it begins to look caked on. If you use moisturizer, you need to wait until the moisturizer is on for a few minutes or the minerals will just cake up. Way over rated. I did not see the coverage that the previous poster stated she had. It is nothing like the infomercial. But maybe it will be different for you.

Listen. BareMinerals is worth every penny you pay for it. My husband buys this stuff for me as gifts because he knows I love it so much and HE loves it too! You need to go somewhere where you can get someone who knows how to do it to apply it to your face, or get a video explaining how to do it. Don't test it on your arm or anywhere else where it is not your face because it will not look the same and you'll just think it's bad. But I have combination oily/dry/sensitive skin and I have never had a problem with it. In fact, it helped along with my other natural skincare products to clear away all the tiny little bumps on my forehead I've had my entire life! It has an excellent finish and is the only makeup I know of that wears well in the summer. Less is better, but extra care around problem areas (for me, my nose creates a shadow) is all it takes for a flawless face. You WILL get the dramatic effects you see on t.v. if you only don't act foolish and use it wisely. It comes in smaller containers than most makeup so that in itself should indicate to users that you use less than regular makeup! I think in the end that the high initial price evens out when you realize you don't need any other makeup! This stuff lasts way longer than any other makeup and never "expires." I don't reccomend their lip products, though, as they do contain some foreign ingredients that aren't too lip healthy. Also, DO buy the mineral veil to go over and under your foundation in case you have oily skin, sweat alot, or it is summer. Also great for when you want to look good for working out! Accept no other imitations. BareMinerals is where it's at!

Yes!
I just bought it at a store called ULTA cosmetics (simialr to Sephora) I bought the powder foundation for $25.00. I DO like it a lot, and I can't even feel it on my face! Also people can't even tell I have it on, because the powder is so fine. I recommend that you go to a store like the one I did to get it and not order it thru TV because it comes in SEVERAL different shades; unlike the "kit" you get via mail. Also, the sales girl told me not to waste my money on the mineral veil (that goes over it) Why... er, not quite sure, she walked away.
****BUT****
Did you know that Loreal just came out with the EXACT same product for around $12.00 ???? Well it is out now and it has the same ingrediants. I LOVE Loreal (it's Lancome, did u know that?) Go to a Walgreen's and get their version of Bare Minerals. I would've done the same had I not bought the Bare mineral's first. Not sure (forgot what the name of the Loreal version is, but you can't miss it! (it comes in a round see-thru container with a grey lid, and it's own applicator brush on top!)
E-mail me and let me know what u think once you try it!

I've been using Bare Minerals for over 3 years and I love it! I have fair skin and the foundation covers what I want it to cover and looks natural. I also love the eye colors, you can mix different colors to make your own color and they look great on.
I would stop by either a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora and check it out. Both stores also have a good return policy as well.
Give it a try you have nothing to lose!
Good luck!!

I have tried Bare Minerals and I've got to say that it is the best makeup I've ever had! It leaves your face looking flawless and like a porcelain doll. I used to break out from all these other cheap foundations/bronzers, but when I used Bare Minerals, i never broke out...it's a little expensive, but believe me it's soo soo WORTH IT! once you use it, you won't go back to the cheap stuff....

I Love it, Its the best I have ever tried. It does not clog my pores, reduces shine, comes in enough colors to compliment all skin tones. Its a little bit pricey, but it last a long time. When I have it on I don't feel like I am wearing makeup, it has a very natural look. If you plan on getting some try one of the kits first so you can determine your skin color. I would suggest going to a sephora, or a Bare escentuals.store

I haven't tried bare minerals, but I have tried Sheer Cover, and that was a joke. I'd imagine it's pretty much the same stuff. I'm know using a Cover Girl creamy foundation that has Oil of Olay in it, which I love, and it's only $8.00.

I absolutley love bare minerals!! It blends so well and looks really naturall and doesn't make me break out. Loreal has something like it, but it's not as good quality and doesn't have nice colors, and looks fake and cakey on. Bare minerals is so nice so buy it!! you won't regret it!

I have tried it. Mineral makeup tends to work best on normal to oily skin. I have dry skin and it didn't look right, even though with continued use it can actually reduce dryness. I would give it a try though to see for yourself.
