well... no, have not lost faith on them, but i think they should be a bit more careful with their job.

How can anyone NOT lose faith the British intelligence services? They wrongly arrested two people on suspicion of terrorism.
Their lives will never be the same, because the British intelligence services made mistake.
Whilst they make mistakes like these the real terrorist will run free. How can you trust the British intelligence services to track the real terrorists?

Being from the north of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Ulster, the occupied six counties- whatever you want to call it- I've never had faith in the British Intelligence Services, particulary now in the light of all what has been revealed in the past few years, regarding actions going back to the 1970's.

I've lost faith in all western intelligence.... where are the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, the Americans and the British were forced to admit... oops sorry... our intelligence was wrong..... how many innocent Iraqi's, aid workers as well as our armed forces were killed because America and England got it wrong...... hmmmn... perhaps it was nothing to do with WMD and all to do with the Earths natural resources.
And when the intelligence was supposed to work (aka 9/11 and London bombings)... we ignored it.... so I suppose it serves us right...
The recent shootings in London.... a Brazilian man shot down in cold blood who ran from men wielding guns (as would I) when they failed to identify themselves as armed police... whoops... "sorry about that dead mans family.... but don't worry, he didn't suffer, he died instantly from the fatal bullet to the head"
Two brothers getting arrested and one being shot.... whoops sorry about that... our mistake... apologies again for the hole in your body....
Hey don't worry, though....you won't get a chance to be bored.... Iran are up for a hiding next..... we won't pick on Korea just yet, as their missiles can reach us... (American wimps!)... Soon Russia and China will declare war on the US, and then we'll all fire our fireworks at each other and end the world.... we learn nothing from our history.

All of the inteligence services rely heavily on AMERICAN input these are the people who think the accurate way to hit a dartboard is not in th centre with 1 dart but to blow a 20" shell in its general direction destroy the board, wall and entire pub!!
If we had our own minds things would be more accurate!

Not necessarily.
But I have definitely lost faith in the political leaders and their inability to stop being so suicidally politically correct and fawning towards the radical Muslims.
I think that without all the political PC restrictions, they might be able to do their jobs right. One can only wonder.

An article full of guesses, opinion, comments, and wishful thinking. Isn't that exactly the sort of thing you are arguing against?

I think the they should drop the word 'Intelligence'.
Read SPY CATCHER by Peter Wright, if you can.
I must say there are some very amusing answers here.
