You can use any number of media players to 'rip' your music from CDs to MP3s, such as window media player, or you can use a ripping utility, there are numerous free ones out there.
Or you can do it the old fashioned way, and download them. (legallly of course)
As for getting them on to your mp3 player, that varies from model to model, some require a software interface, others can be viewed from within 'My Computer' as an external drive, to which you can drag and drop music.
Hope that helps!

That all depends. I use an ipod as an mp3 player.
I usually download mp3s from Ares software. Open itunes add the mp3s to the iTunes library and then connect the ipod and send the songs to that.
Most other mp3 players can be connected to the computer and you can see it as a removable drive and after opening it all you have to do is copy the songs you want to the mp3 player drive.

Your question isn't very specific, but if you're talking about getting music from a music CD to your computer and converting it to MP3 so you can transfer it to your MP3 player, then use software like Musicmatch Jukebox to rip from your music CD into MP3 format and go from there to transfer it to your MP3 player.
