There are products called "growth regulators" and they will chemically stunt the growth. I am in the horticulture industry and know how to get the stuff. The primary brand is called Bonzai, but I know the manufacturer of a generic called Downsize that would work.

It could be costly however, but I am considering using it myself.

Your question made me smile! The answer is - I don't think so. But I am actually very envious of you because my lawn has bald patches and looks horrible. I a,m trying to get it to grow faster! What is your secret?

If you are in UK there's a hose pipe ban, so how come your lawn is growing so fast???

But seriously - it is the time of year. It will slow down in the winter.
