You can read about the car here:

I don't hear any of the world's leaders talking about this car at all. It seems to me if this technology works like they say it does it would be a great advancement to the planet earth.

Let me know what you think about it.

obviously the first two people who answered didn't read the site very well. The manufacturer claims that on one tank of fossil fuel the air car can drive from New York to Califronia. So you're correct, it uses a fossil fuel engine to "recharge" the compressed air tanks, but it also makes it EXTREMELY effiecient.

well for one thing it's too small and another there has to be a power source to produce compressed air like a motor that will produce pollution... think of this if all cars were electric and that means unless they are solar powered they would have to recharge by means of plugging into electric current somewhere right? with that being said that would mean that the electric would have to come from someplace like a power plant unless all power plants were hydro electric that would only leave nuclear or coal power plants and we know there arent a whole lot of nuclear power plants online so the majority would come from coal power plants and that would mean the mining of coal to burn creating more pollution then if all cars were gas in the world and not to mention all the diesel powered excavaters needed to haul and the trucks to get it to the power plants in the first place so i guess we are stuck back at first base all over again.. but as for the cat car it would be a nice little car to pull behind an rv . not alot of drag and be real nice crusing around the parks or even a golf course or two... good day.

I think you're forgetting some of the basics of thermodynamics. You lose energy when you put the air into the tanks, you lose it when you use it. I've read a bit about these and it seems to be a project in bilking money out of investors that lack a basic sense of physics.

Another problem is their own admittance that the cars don't yet meet safety requirements, that will add weight and reduce efficiency as well.

Plus, how seriously can you take a company that won't even correct all the grammatical and typographical errors on their site?

ok, compressed air has a similar issues as battery powered autos. you may cost up your tanks in lots of situations and how many places have the kit to compress air to the very intense psi you may circulate everywhere. i could examine your advice out, something would not sound genuine. they say they have have been given around the guidelines of physics some how.
