If the person you are living with in this relationship is your spouse then yes. if not married but paying mortgage then yes. not married and paying rent then yes. not any of these scenarios then your money is safe.

legally you are entitled to half of everything your partner owns if you have been together for more than six months. (married or DE facto) They are also entitled to half of all you own. hope that helps. but in the end it's down to the pair of you to work out who gets what if you can or a judge
