Absolutely NOT. We should use acorns. Pine cones maybe to represent 5 acorns. A walnut as 2 acorns and maybe a coconut as 100 acorns (or 50 walnuts or 20 pine cones) And the loose change-we can plant that! And then money will grow on trees.
GREAT IDEA!

Can you carry enough pine cones in your pocket to buy the crack that you have been smoking?
Sorry, just kidding. That's funny, but it might get a little painful if you are trying to buy something that requires a lot of "cash" can you imagine trying to carry 4 million pine cones to the grocery store to buy groceries, cause inflation would be a bi**h in the spring and summer.

Sounds good in theory...to abandon the mixed system and use one simple currency...problem is, it's impossible to really regulate and there'd undoubtably be abusers. That said...how can you counterfeit a pinecone? lol.

What a wonderful idea! If pine cones were valuable, maybe we'd stop cutting down all our forests.

I'd prefer sand dollars. Then you'd have people learning to swim.
