I'm trying to remember the title of a movie that I watched quite a few years ago. I think it came out in the mid-early eighties. It was about a young boy that was orphaned in a post-apocalyptic city of the not-so-distant future. He was raised by a homeless person that dies of a disease, and has to survive as a young man in the urban slums. Now, something else happens, something like he witnesses a murder and is hunted down by the murderers/criminals. He meets a woman that is a reporter I think. If I remember right, she starts writing a story about him, calling him Wildchild or something like that... geeze... I remember REALLY enjoying it, but I can't remember much about it, or the title. PLEASE HELP!

The movie is called "Wild Thing," barely released at all I think it was straight to video back in 1987. Known as other titles in other countries I am assuming you're from the US. The best known actor/actress in it was Kathleen Quinlan, who portrayed Tom Hanks's wife in "Apollo 13"

I think the movie is called "Wild Thing". I remember it was a young man that also couldn't speak very well. He was kind of a Tarzan/ Robin Hood type; defends the weak, oppressed, etc.
