There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me is...

(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

It is a gift from God, and it has many forms.

We can love people in so many different ways.

Romantic love....is a combination of things, I think. We are more concerned with making the one we love happy....than we are in self gratification. It is physical, too. There is that innate need for procreation that is programmed into us. A part of that is the hormonal aspects....the chemistry of it all. And, there is simply a need for companionship. Man isn't a species that thrives well alone.

Love is unlogical. But if you want to explain it logical. Love is when you acknowledge an existing person for what he/she is and can not live without the individual. So basically you want an existance to share your existance before you have no existance anymore
