For your site to appear in Google search you need to use a lot of keywords in the meta tags and eventually to advertise your website. Good luck!

Google, and most search engines, use webbots to make their listings. A Webbot is a program that does nothing but follow links from page to page. It examines the page and attempts to figure out what the page is about by reading the text on the page (or often just the first couple hundred words). It then catagorizes the page based on those words and adds it to the search engine.
So to get on the engines, you need to be sure that the subject of your page is clearly and frequently stated in the first few lines of yout page. You can also add "keywords" into the Header section of your web page. Webbots always read that section first and give those keywords a high priority in deciding where to list the page.
Pages go up in the listing the more often the webbot finds its way to the page. It assumes that if there are dozens of links to the page, then it must be a good one. Meaning the more links that lead to your page, the better chance you having of getting found and moved up in the engines. So you want to get all your friends to add a link to your page from their pages, myspaces, etc. (And do the same for them)
You can also submit your page to Google, Yahoo and other search engines. Look on the search engines home page and you should see a "submit pages" link somewhere. But because of the number of pages submitted every day it takes 4-6 months before you are added. (Often the webbot will find you before then).
