How can you prevent sites from opening up on their own?

I just need to tell you that sites cannot open on their own, but it is possible for "something" mostly an adware, is opening that site. For cure to this one, you need an anti-adware software like:
- Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ )
- Spybot SD (http://www.safer-networking.org/ )
- Ewido (http://www.ewido.com/ )

Or it is also posible that a page you're surfing, is the one that opens another page, in this case, it is called popups or popunders. You need a popup blocker, like Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/ ) or Yahoo Toolbar (http://toolbar.yahoo.com/ ).

If you're talking about "pop-ups," those annoying little ads that open up new browser windows while you're trying to read news, watch porn or whatever it is you do on your computer, there are tons of pop-up blockers you can install. Of the two or three I have, I always rely on Yahoo's on their toolbar. I suggest downloading the yahoo toolbar and following the directions about pop-up blocker.

get a better pop up blocker, delete all cookies go to properties in the internet and delete all of your history and cookies there also. if that does not work a pop up blocker that is better is the only option.

download google bar as it helps in blocking pop-ups.. and they will be blocked...have fun :O) or u may also download yahoo bar... any one.. u want...
