Zone Alarm is to stop update's for user's with window's me and earlier. Does anyone know of a good firewall which is free for personal use, Thank's.

firewalls are a bit different from virus scanners as they dont necesarily need to have the latest updates to work. you will still find zonealarm protects your system without updates. maybe a hardware firewall would also help (built in to many adsl routers).

Check Point software owns Zone Labs now...Go to check point's website, they may have a free for personal use firewall other than Zone Alarm. Agnitum Outpost as well as Sygate Personal Firewall are two additional free to use for personal use firewalls..Or you could upgrade to Win XP with built in firewall.

for firewall options you do not need to update and the virus signatures doesen need the OS version they update the software,just install (upgrade) the version (latest) of the ZoneAlarm (that support`s your OS) and just go on-you have the best protector on the market
