I hope someone can help me. For years I have had issues with my feet but it's gotten worse of the past four years. When standing long peroids of time it becomes agonizing. A "crushing" burning pain when I stand and a "ripping" burning pain when I sit. I have gone to a Chiropracter who made me custom orthodics and they do nothing. The pain gets so bad I can't walk sometimes and it's nausiating.
I do the stretches she has shown me and they do little to help. Can ANYONE help me? This insanity has got to stop!
If it matters I am a 21 year old female.

I work on a farm in the market on Concrete floors. We have a rubber mat but I am running around from Till to strawberry packing to kitchen. So I can't drag the mat everywhere.
As for the guy that mentioned sex. Grow up sweetie and stop fishing for points. Have you no life?

Is there a way to not stand for long periods? Industrial rug and uniform places sell/rent a thing called a comfort-flo. Its a very thick squishy rubber mat that cashiers and dishwashers swear by. I would see another form of doctor in addition to the Chiro. It never hurts to have a second opinion. A friend of mine swore by walking in warm sand when her feet hurt. She even rigged up a flat plastic box filled with sand and a heating pad under it. She wiggled her bare feet around in it under her desk. She said from the ankles down it felt like she was on vacation. Good Luck

I would suggest 2 things. If you have orthotics from a Chiropractor, then has the warranty period expired on them? If not, go back and have the Chiropractor make adjustments on them until they do work.
Orthotics are wonderful, but you may not be so lucky as to hit exactly right the first time. It may take a couple of return visits to get it right.
If you did'nt get help from a Chiropractor, then seek help of a Pedorthist or Podiatrist. They can look at what has been done and see about doing something different.
You say that you work on concrete. Shoes with shock absorption and motion control are the next thing to think of. The Pedorthist is able to help you with that.

Soak your feet in tea. Using tea bags 3 or 4 seep it good. Put the tea and the tea bags in the wate and soak your feet for about 30 minutes or so. Set your water so your water is not to hot. Afterwards apply Noxzema to your feet and rub well. Do the Noxzema in the morning and at night. It should take care of the odor problem if you continue this treatment for a while.

I am not a doctor but aside from maybe some skin problem, i can only assume it is nerve damage or some other problem with the nerves in your feet.
This may sound hoeky but i seriosly recomend you see an acupunturist.
Given you have tried traditonal medicine, the only thing you have to lose is the pain.

Often when you work while walking on a hard surface you will develop what is called PLANTAR FACIITIS
simply when you are sitting gas bubbles build in the tissue of your foot, the hell in particular, but other areas as the problem becomes more severe
When you stand and place weight on the area the gas bubbles break causing excruciating pain
sometimes shoe appliances such as heel cups work, i will give you a url that may explain more

You need to see a foot specialist (a podiatrist). It sounds like plantar faciitis or heel spurs. Either way, the doctor can put you on anti-inflammatories, or even injections. The injections are very painful, but with the right medication you can be pain free 6 months or more. Hope you get better.
