It could be for a lot of reasons. Rude or sarcastic people are everywhere. Also some questions may appear offensive or attacking to others so they tend to answer back in the way they felt we are asked. Since we are on the net posting and answering, whether or not the question is serious, we are bound to get all sorts of remarks. Maybe in most cases it's not so much they felt you or someone else knew them...People may feel that they can be more rude on line because someone does not know them and they can be as much of a @# as they want without having to suffer any consequences such as a fight.

No, there are rude answers because there are too many dumb questions like this one. So shut up and ask a question that has more validity than just a bunch of generalizations that don't even make sense.

I don't know but that is what I have been starting to wonder...they email you and say something really rude...and they don't know who you are. I mean i can answer a question and then the person i answered for gets all offensive and thinks I said something rude...when i never do say nothing mean to anyone. I am just giving advice to people. But i don't understand when people answer your questions they get all mean with you when you never said anything mean.

yes definitely, rudeness is a character flaw and lack of discipline. people are rude to be funny, to be smart asses because they feel out witted even. they have valid points they want to make. but know it wont be taken serious.
my family mantra goes "we are not judged by another's actions. we are only judged by our own reaction" if someone decides to get rude, no problem but to them. unless you react to it. you are accurate in what you say, the reason for their rude tudes, is it hits too close to home. and they dont know how to handle it.
my own mantra i added to the family one is M.A.D. mental acuity deficency. an inability or lacking sharpness, keeness. so, when ppl get in over their intellect they lash out in anger they get mad. everyone knows the less content one has in an argumet. the louder they make it. Great question,

No. The reason maybe that they don't know the answer and just cuz they need 2 points, they answer rudely. Or maybe they have a silly sense of humour!

Its also the old "garbage in garbage out" principle. If people ask poorly worded or ridiculous questions, then they should expect a similar level of response.
