My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

The only difference I have found is....none really...as far as the sex part. The foreskin gets pulled back when the penis is erect so it is pretty much the same as when a guy is circumcised. It just looks different when it is in "rest" state, since the glans is covered by the foreskin. However, a guy I knew had told me that he was more sensitive before he got circumcised and regretted getting it done. Also he said his erections became painful if they were really intense in the area of the circumcision....the skin was pulling and tight feeling. .I don't know if this is usual for getting circumcised as an adult male....but unless its for a medical reason...tell your hubby not to get unnecessary surgery....he may regret it later. Some men also will have problems if the foreskin is too tight and causes pain with erection...but this can be solved with out circumcision...minor surgery to enlarge the foreskin with a small incision usually fixes the problem. Go with your hubby and talk to the doctor. As for the hygiene part...that is bs....a man who is circumsized knows to pull back his foreskin and wash and keep it clean....just like a woman washes in the folds of her labia.....so don't let others tell you that. Good luck....hope this helps.

I've been with both types and certainly circumcised gives better pleasure for the man and woman. Also, uncircumcised men can carry bacteria under the folds of skin that can cause women infections.

my last bf wasn't.. my current bf is...

i don't notice a difference... i'm not sure about what the others are saying about making it look bigger or what not... as i've never seen a before and after.... (i'm not sure if they have either for that matter haha)

not being circumsized makes giving hand jobs a bit easier.. cause the stuff moves about...

I've read that women with uncircumcised men have a greater chance of cervical cancer.

That's the only two cents I can add.

is there any particular reason why he's getting circumsized? health? disease? religion? i find it would be weird for a man to do this unless under doctor's advice.
