As with any trend, you either "get on board" or just let it pass....yawn! What's funny is when a trend becomes ...not cool...anymore and those who subscribe to it suddenly become laughable. Express yourself as an individual while enjoying the trends that you like. Appearances can be a shorthand way to tell others on the surface who your are or what you represent. But the best test is to get to know a person, despite or because of their appearance.

IT IS one of those funny unfortunate things where somebody famous, living in somewhere rich/posh, got dressed in such a hurry that they left the house with one trouser leg much higher than the other...and before you know it, they were snapped by photographers, pictures all over mags, and people now declaring its the new fashion trend, 'the new black'. could it be that was how it all started? heheheeee
dont think we have any choice but to just accept it.
"To each their own" hey? no matter how strange.
to be honest, im with you. it does look extremely funny, so funny that sometimes i have to hide my giggles and resist the urge to go over to him and point out his 'mistake' of not realising that one of his trouser leg is almost at his knee...

I can remember watching an american tv show called In The House with LL Cool J in it, and he always wore one leg up. This was about 5 years ago though so I'm thinking he might have set the trend.

i've wondered the same thing! i'm still not clear of the origin of the one pant leg but i do know that the trend of wearing the really baggy pants and having boxers stick out originated from prison. prisoners are not allowed belts and are therefore forced to wear ill fitting pants. maybe by pushing up one pant leg it helps their saggy pants stay up better!?!

I think it looks a bit silly, but there is no law against it and if people enjoy doing it, well....they are not hurting anyone so just let them get on with it.

I know that the charvas in bonnie old sunderland push one leg up and put their socks on top so that if they are on there bikes, on the chain side, they dont get oil on their trousers.
then they started to do it purely to look like pricks!!!

I think it was LL Cool J, on that TV series he did, who first started doing it.
Hope I helped! And I agree, it does look slightly nuts!
