U have a girl f who lis living far away. U wanna break with her or back to friends only with her, but u havent told her about ur decision yet and keep silence to her . During that silent time, she sends u a gift.

She has sent you the gift because you have been silent and she thinks she has done some mistake so the gift is like saying sorry. If you accept the gift and also break up with her that would be mean as well as hurtful. Return the gift along with a nice FRIENDSHIP card to say how important being her frien is to you.

Do you talk to her on the phone? If you do you should tell her that you just want to be friends and mean it and it's okay if you take the gift because friends give gifts too.

How expensive is the gift? Actually it does not matter, if you plan on breaking up with her it would be rude to keep the gift. Return it to her, when she receives it back she will know you no longer want to be with her. You will have solved your problem regarding telling her.

Depends what kind of a gift it is.
If it is something very personal then you should not. But if this gift can be accepted as a friend then you can do it and say thanks to her.
