Unfortunately, yes. I wished (and dreamed) that this person was dead, as they were making my life a misery.
They did not die that day, but a day later, after talking to me and making up with me.
It was possibly the worst experience of my life.

This was close...I lived in an apartment complex and we had this pain in the rear old lady who was really rude and would constantly complain. One day she ticked me off so bad and as she was going up the stairs, I said to my roommate "Man one day I hope that ***** takes a roll down the stairs"
A few months later I was watching my TV and I hear a rumblinng noise...I look out there and low and behold it was the old lady who rolled down the stairs. I felt bad. Helped her back to her apartment and called the ambulance...And never saw her again. A few months later my neighbor told me she got put in a home...Head injuries and she was "Too far gone" to live alone and would spend the rest of her days in a home.

Well, it wasn't me who actually said, but my cousin tried to say I did, but anyway. Me, my sister, and my cousin were watching TV, and Princess Diana came on the news, and then my cousin said that she wished she was dead, then the next day, it was all over the news that Princess Diana had died. We were quite young at the time.
Freaky.

years ago when I was dating my ex-husband, I used to be jealous of his ex-girlfriend, when he told me he was going to visit his sick friend who lived near her, I didn't want him to go. we had a row about it and I said his friend can drop dead for all I care. He died within 2 weeks....I felt guilty for ages. Recently I developed a crush on a guy who's married, I have fantasised about being with him if anything should happen to his wife....I found out recently that his wife is ill....it's scary, I haven't wished for anything bad to happen to her, I just want her husband not her life!

It happened to my mother the same day she made the statement...she felt so horrible...no one knew if she was crying because she was sad about the loss...or if she was crying because her wish came true so fast.
i was 16 and shared her sentiment...so when I heard the news my first reaction was
"Cool mom, hey hurry up and wish for a billion dollars..."

nope... but i was on my way to the bus stop one day and i saw the bus driving up the road so i started to walk a bit quicker... i got within about 2meters from the bus stop (and i know the driver could see me cuz i was trying to cross the road in front of the bus!!!) and the bus pulled out and drove off... so i swore lots and then i thought to myself i wish that stupid bus would crash... anyway... it didn't crash but it did break down at the next stop and i drove past in a taxi laughing my **** off. hehe.

Yes. But if you wish someone dead, they will die eventually. I don't recall wishing someone would live forever.
