As well as Apollo, the mystic poet Orpheus was also associated with the arts. Around the third century BC there were a number of Orphic writings in circulation. These writings supposedly contained the teaching of Orpheus on a good lifstyle. In the Euripides play the Hipplytos, Theseus the King says to his son before banishing him " Go on, preen yourself, exhibit yourself with that vegtable diet of yours, grasp at your Orphic scribblings..." Among the ideas that these writings contained included advocation of vegetarianism and celibacy in favour of the pursuit of music and artistic pursuits.
Dionysus had close connections to the arts in that Greek plays originally started as religious ceremonies dedicated to Dionysus, and many of the choral episodes, intended to be sang, were often written in a style called dithyrambs, and Dionysus was sometimes called Dithyrambus, as in the Bacchae, a play about Dionysus worshippers. In the Birth of Tragedy, Nietzsche staes there are two types of Tragedy, the dream like Appollonian and the wild Dionysian one.

properly, see, if each body became easily useful, this does no longer be a difficulty. problem is that there are nonetheless a good number of wackos round who will run wild with this stuff. Then, even a nominal perception receives taken to extremes, previous what should be "spiritually uplifting" for human beings. They try this in simple terms because it really is who they're. putting God beliefs contained in the fingers of average human beings is like putting a loaded shotgun contained in the fingers of a 5-3 hundred and sixty 5 days-old.
