the role of women in james bond films were very specific. ian fleming has very strict criteria regarding their looks and behaviors (submissive and voluptuous.) many of their names such as ***** galore and plenty o'toole has suggestive undertones with double entendre and they basically played a foil to james bond's masculinity, being ultra feminine. in addition, they were eye candy until pierce brosnan came along and became more dominant in the action. hope that helps.

Originally they were just for decoration - with names like Honey Rider and the famous Pu$$y Galore for a joke ( also, to swoon over James Bond). Then, with the equality movement, they started to get dominant and so you had women as the main baddies e.g. Octopussy and Electra King. Putting Judi Dench as the head of MI6 sealed the change. Also, the fact that Barbara Broccoli now co-produces them ( her father Cubby started the franchise) means that she has a strong input on what goes into the movies.

Nice question!!! Well, lets see, Judi Dench playing head (of MI6 -correct me if i'm wrong!!) changes everything!!! (Bring it up to modern times) Also, note that often the bad side has a seductive female on their cause (often ending on the other side after all goes wrong!!). Also, in Moonwalker, only the elite were chosen in order 2 create a master race. Bond being helped by an American female astraunaut. Any help that?

Words about sexism, the reduction of women's role, the denial of power. Go on to say that most are just there as eye candy, or words to that effect.
