something stimulates you to have a thought? Or would you just be a blank slate if no one was around to influence you? All thoughts must be stimulated look at how many time you say something to someone with two completely different answers. then think about how they change their opinion to match yours or they make sure it is the opposite just to argue! that would be influence, wouldn't it?

Thoughts are like flying objects looking for a place to lend. So, yes one's thoughts don't originate with oneself.

However, thoughts become yours when you give them permission to lend on you - then they are yours. Haven't you noticed that at times you don't want to entertain certain thoughts, and you actually succeed?

Sometimes after a long time in thought ~ you realize "I shouldn't be thinking about this". This shows that thoughts, no matter how good, bad or excellent they are ~ no one owns them.

As a result, no matter how much you love a person you cannot give them your thoughts. The reason for that is quite simple - they are not yours.
